Character Stories
Fairies and elves don’t write their stories the way many people do. Their words and adventures are captured in nature – the colour of their stories decorating the landscape around you. They share their tales around the fire in the eventide. The laughter and magic rising in the smoke, being carried on the wind into the panorama around them.
One group of fairies was tasked by the Elven Fairy Queen with encapsulating the beauty of these secret tales in a way that they may bring joy and strength to all those who saw them – even if they didn’t understand everything they saw.
As the stories were told and their beauty drifted up into the air, certain tales were caught by these skilled story tellers and taken to their workshop. Here they would mix the stories with the elements they found around them over enchanted furnaces. Once mixed, they would pour the mixtures into cracks in the rocks - thus creating the most beautiful gems you have ever seen. Some would be individual crystals, others found as bands and veins within the rock.
If you listen carefully when you happen upon these beautiful gems you may hear one of the Fae reciting the tale it tells to their children. Tales of bravery, of love, of wonder, of strength, of creativity, and of adventure.
The Elven Fairy Queen
Once upon a time there was a Queen who ruled the Elven Fairy Kingdom with love, mercy, and tea. The Elven Fairy Queen enjoyed continual peace in her lands.

She loved friendship and creativity. Music, art, light, and laugher were found wherever you roamed in the realm along with, of course, the calming tea that was served within the Castle itself. All who lived in the Elven Fairy Kingdom enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere that was found throughout the Queen’s lands. The woodlands, hills and moorlands were filled with happiness and tranquillity.
She was brave and would fight to protect her people, but she was also a peaceful soul and would do all she could to provide a peaceful safe haven for both her people and those who visited her realm.
The Queen not only enjoyed good friendships with those who lived within her Kingdom, but also with the rulers and peoples of surrounding realms. She would often make blends of tea to celebrate friendships, agreements, and alliances.

The Forest Minstrel
The Elven Fairy Queen met this kind, fun minstrel quite by chance as he was walking with his cat and fox through the forests of the realm in search of fungi to eat.

The Forest Muse
Legend has it that the Forest Muse was once engaged to a cruel King from a far-off realm. The beautiful maiden escaped his cruel clutches by faking her death in a river.
Having floated many miles down the meandering waterway, she eventually reached the borders of the cruel ruler’s kingdom, crossing over into unknown lands. This was when she met the Fae folk.
A small party of flower fae had been sent by the Elven Fairy Queen to study the plants of different realms when they came across the beautiful maiden, sat shivering on the river bank. They gave her dry clothes and warmed her with one of the Queen’s teas.
The maiden joined the party and everywhere she went her kindness, humour, and beauty made the flowers look more radiant. She painted beautiful portraits of the Fae as they went about their work, and in turn the fae were inspired by her to capture the beauty of the places and people they visited.
When the party arrived back in the Elven Fairy Kingdom, they took the maiden to see the Queen. The Queen and the maiden spent many hours laughing together and talking about art.
The Queen offered the maiden sanctuary in the Elven Fairy Kingdom, and now the Forest Muse creates beautiful pieces of art and inspires others in their creative journeys.

It was on one of these quests that the High Elf found the Forest Minstrel. Now, along with the Grand Druid of the Forest, they travel together creating music that makes the heart sing of anyone who hears it.
The High Elf was introduced to the Elven Fairy Queen by the Forest Minstrel. In the Southern Forest there flows a river lined with the most beautiful trees in the land. If you listen carefully as you walk there you will hear the song of the Hamadryade. Her songs tend the trees – making them grow taller, stronger, and more beautiful than any found anywhere else in the Kingdom. The rich tone of her voice can also soothe those who are weary and melt even the hardest of hearts. It isn’t just her voice that is so attractive: her great beauty is only rivalled by her love, kindness, and generosity which are all seemingly without bounds.
The Elven Fairy Queen met the Hamadryade whilst on a on a walk with the Forest Minstrel. The Moon Queen
During the day, the Moon Queen is an elusive creature but can occasionally be seen wandering the lands picking the most beautiful ingredients if you look carefully.
Under the light of the Moon, in the quiet of the night, the Moon Queen would mix these ingredients to create potions to aid the peoples of the Elven Fairy Kingdom and the Realms beyond.
There are many who believe the Moon Queen to be the Elven Fairy Queen in disguise. The only one really knows is the Sun Queen but whenever she is asked, she simply glows brighter. Whatever the truth, the two Queens certainly have a special relationship.
The Moon Queen also made her own blend of black tea with raspberries, blackcurrants, blackberries, bilberries and raspberry leaf to take with her and keep her refreshed on her ventures to collect ingredients.
The Snail Wizard
The Snail Wizard was a quiet soul. He would wander the forest, quietly casting spells to bring joy into the lives of those he saw. But Snail Wizard had a problem.
He was so tired all the time. He visited the Moon Queen, and in the light of the moon she made for him a potion of chamomile, raspberry leaf, peppermint, orange peel, and raspberries that was perfect before bed. He would make it in his little cauldron and drink it from his mini shell styled cup before getting a really good night’s sleep.

The Sprite Crumpeteer
The Sprite Crumpeteer was a cheerful Sprite who would entertain as he danced and made music through the forest bringing cheer and joy. He would also look for the most fabulous foods to eat on his travels. He would taste any delicacy that he could.

Mother Earth
Mother Earth was walking in the Forest with the Grand Druid when she first saw the Moon Queen at a distance. The Moon Queen also saw Mother Earth. Her kindness, beauty, and strength were greatly admired by the Queen.
Over time, Mother Earth and the Moon Queen began to talk. As they saw each other more and more, they became good friends. They both saw the things that weren’t ok in the world and wanted to make them better.
The Moon Queen created a tea that represented Mother Earth’s desire to see the peoples of the realm not waste the precious gifts given to them and to look after the world in which they dwelt.
The Castle Guard
The Elven Fairy Queen, although living in a kingdom of love and peace, was still aware of the dangers that her kingdom could face. The Castle Guard was led by the bravest Knight of the Realm, who was constantly looking out for the welfare of others. The Queen valued his compassion and care for the members of the realm, and always felt safe in his presence. In an evening, when the Queen would be wandering the palace in deep thought she would often stop to talk to the Guard. His sense of humour and kind heart meant that they built a close friendship, and the Queen would often take the brave Knight with her on her expeditions out into the realm and beyond. He was a constant source of joy and safety for the Queen and was loved by the people of the realm and beyond.
To honour his wonderful character, and all the work he did, the Queen made the Knight a tea to help him stay awake and alert during the night watch.
The Cave Goblin
One evening the Elven Fairy Queen was out late walking, enjoying the music of the Elven Fairy Kingdom. She walked into one of the caves deep in the forest where there was some particularly beautiful music playing. As she listened to the music, she saw the Cave Goblin sat enjoying the music too. He was drinking the dirty cave water as he listened to the sweet melodies.
The Queen began talking to the Goblin, and she soon found he worked helping the Queen’s advisors find information they needed. He had an impish sense of humour and that when he wasn’t helping the Queen’s advisors, he was also a skilful musician himself. They talked for a long time about music and had a lot of laughs together.
The Queen was thrilled to get to know the Cave Goblin, but was saddened that he mainly drank the dirty cave water, so she made him his own special tea to enjoy whilst he worked and made music. The Queen and the Cave Goblin can often be found enjoying music together in the evenings after the days’ duties are done.
Father of the Forest
No one knows the age of the Father of the Forest. He has cared for the Forest and it’s residents from before anyone can remember.

He is full of laughter and joy, caring for all who seek to look after the Kingdom. He has a generous heart and gives gifts to those who care for the Forest. He provides a haven of care and rest for all who need it.

The Highland Hermit
The Elven Fairy Queen met the Highland Hermit one evening when she was being serenaded by the High Elf of the Dark Forest. This quiet, shy elf was so caught up listening to the music of the High Elf that he ventured further into the clearing in the forest than he had intended. The Elven Fairy Queen greeted him and they admired the music of the High Elf together.
Each time the High Elf played music for the Queen, the Highland Hermit would come to listen – sometimes hiding in the trees around the clearing but more often over time, coming out and sitting to listen with the Queen and other folk of the realm who had gathered.
When the hermit spoke, he would tell of his life in the lands to the north – of the peace his solitude in the hills and mountains and forests brought him. His love of nature and of the simplicity of life away from the hustle and bustle of the more populated areas were qualities the Queen easily related to.
The Queen enjoyed hearing of the hermit’s life foraging in the forest, and his walks over the mountains with his pet goat, Nigel, caring for the land around him.
The Elven Fairy Queen created a recipe for the Highland Hermit that he could make up for himself from ingredients he could forage around his small cabin in the forest blended with the gift of the more exotic ingredient of tea that she gave him.
Shieldmaiden of the North
Someone who on first glance appears calm and gentle, and who cares for all she meets, the Shieldmaiden of the North is a Fairy Warrior. Renown in battle for her bravery and skill, she is a quiet soul who prefers peace and loves the company of others. She is fiercely loyal to her family and friends. But when the time is needed, she will stand her ground and fight for all she believes in. She is a cunning strategist but when she is not needed in battle, she loves to laugh and joke with her friends, appreciating the art and music of the kingdoms.
Living in the northern wastelands, she often lives through long cold evenings, and the Elven Fairy Queen wanted to give this trusted friend and warrior something to warm those long night. So the Queen made her a black tea blend with rose and lemon peel to keep out the cold and help her to relax with her friends.
The Starlight Queen
Whilst the Elven Fairy Queen was out in the Forest chatting with the Sprite Crumpeteer, the night drew in and revealed a beautiful Queen who sparkled, casting her own light besides that of the moon. She shimmered and lit up the heavens – helping guide travellers with the patterns she created with the diamond like lights she placed in the sky to keep them safe.
The Elven Fairy Queen would go out into the forest and talk with the Starlight Queen long into the night. They would listen to music and dance. The Starlight Queen led the Elven Fairy Queen to the caves deep in the Forest where she heard the beautiful music and met the Cave Goblin.
To celebrate their friendship, the Elven Fairy Queen created a hibiscus infusion for the Starlight Queen.
Master of Dragons
Across the oceans from the Elven Fairy Kingdom is a realm very different from the lands in which the Elven Fairy Queen spends her days. Hot and humid, it is the homeland of dragons. Here, when not travelling on his own quests, the Master of Dragons trains day and night to keep himself ready to aid any who need it.
Some wonder if the Master of Dragons is in fact a Chalkydri taking humanoid form. His continual desire to be in the presence of the sun which would certainly suggest this may be the case. The Master of Dragons encapsulates the physically strong, focused and fun facets of a dragon’s nature in his life, and so it is in no way a surprise that he rules over them. He spends his days fighting dreaded emanations in realms around the world through physical and musical means. His dedication to training and his hard-working disposition have led him to become elite in all his endeavours. But don’t let this side of the Master’s character fool you. Despite this unwavering ambition to continually develop, he also loves to play games and has an impish sense of humour, making jokes and seeking ways to be harmlessly mischievous – much like the dragons found in the Elven Fairy Kingdom.
The Elven Fairy Queen had heard tales of the Master of Dragons. However, word had reached her court of how he had been on his own quests to help others which had meant she had been unable to meet him. Nevertheless, through the help of the Cave Goblin and Castle Guard, she was able to seek him out.
From their first meeting, it was clear that the Elven Fairy Queen and Master of Dragons mutual love of music and laughter would form the basis of a firm friendship. And, so impressed by the Master of Dragons ability to lift the spirits of those around him, the Elven Fairy Queen created a green tea blend for the him that would aid his training so he could continue his vital work containing blackberries, bilberries, hibiscus, and ginger.
